This Beam Compass set was made in 1917 by the Hopgood Company of London. A serial number of 659 is stamped on all the brass. The beam is made of solid mahogany with inlayed boxwood scale. TheLeft Beam Head is fixed at the end but equipped with a micro adjustment screw. Theright beam head can be freely slide along the beam and clamped at any desired position. The maximum radius of the circle that this compass can draw is 26 inches. The case is made of pine. Case Length 33.25" (84.5cm)
